Fredriksborg Hotel & Restaurant is a small and charming hotel with extraordinary opportunities.
Our restaurant consists of several different parts; you can indulge in our à la carte-menu, enjoy a lighter meal at or have a coffee in our beautiful orangery.

Our selected rooms
Axel & Esters Suite
This is our largest room in which you can stay up to four people. It has a French balcony and an amazing view overlooking the inlet.
Attic room
The two Lofts have a different character than the other rooms with a more contemporary look and décor, even though the warm and charming feeling remain the same.
Double room - premium
Double room with own entrance and lovely sea view. Outside the rooms there is outdoor furniture where you can sit and enjoy the sunset.
Fredriksborg has a total of 15 rooms with 30 beds located in two buildings. All rooms were built in 2013-2015 with preservation of the old style with period colors, Jugend-wallpaper, preserved tiled, stoves etc. All rooms have modern bathrooms with underfloor heating and shower or bathtub. Hairdryers and bathrobes are available, as well as wall-mounted TVs and free WiFi in all rooms.
Breakfast buffet is included and is served at 8-10AM.
Check-in occurs from 3PM daily, and check-out before 11AM. If there are special requests, please ask us when booking.
The five rooms in the red Officersbostället, our oldest building from approx. year 1724, have direct access from the terrace and their own outdoor furniture outside of each indiviudal room.
The ten rooms in the yellow Stone Barracks from 1751 are on the second floor and in the attic. Please note that there is no elevator available.
For an extra bed, 500 SEK is charged for adults and 250 SEK for children up to 12 years of age, which also includes breakfast for the extra person. Children under two years of age sleep and eat for free.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer dog rooms due to allergies.
In the rooms there is liquid soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner from Grevinnans Rum — an organic skin care brand which makes everything by hand in Gränna. The products are vegan, without palm oil and without animal testing. The products can be purchased from us or the entire range via Grevinnans Rum‘s online store.
Towels, bed linen, carpets and curtains in the rooms are exclusively washed with allergy- and perfume-free Nordic Eco-labelled detergents.
Fredriksborgs is classified as a national building monument. All rooms and public areas are strictly non-smoking, and no fire or candles may be used in the rooms — nor is red wine, food or anything else which may cause stains allowed. All abnormal wear, damage, smoking or missing ornaments will be invoiced to the guest/customer. Hygiene products are not for takeaway, but are sold at the reception. Thanks in advance.

The setting surely is astounding, with an amazing view of the sea combined with historical buildings. Our charming and welcoming hotel is a result of a careful renovation facilitated by the National Property Board of Sweden.
We have four different categories of hotel rooms, which are all individually decorated and include bathroom and TV.
